Lil' Red began as a proof of concept project. Faced with the lack of progress getting the Coyotee to run, I decided to develop a single cylinder engine to prove that an engine this small would actually run. Sporting essentially the same bore and stroke as the Coyotee, work began on Lil' Red in 1994. Completed in a relatively short span of time, Lil' Red jumped to life in 1995. Generally seen as a farm-type engine, Lil' Red also bears a resemblance to some early marine-type engines. |
