Moyer Made - Miniature Engines: Coyotee 4 Cylinder

Well this is where all the madness began. Starting in 1964 with a few pieces of barstock and a grade 8 bolt, the Coyotee started to take shape. After quite a few years, alternating between being worked on and languishing on a shelf, the Coyotee was finally completed in 1989. However, the engine refused to run. Precariously close to being obliterated with a sledgehammer, I continued to rework everything. Finally in 1995 the Coyotee came alive. Having been refined over the many years since then, the Coyotte is a consistant runner preferring to run wide open, having been tached at an amazing 11,000 RPM!

	While not a replica of any particular engine, the Coyotee is definitely an auto-type engine that has evolved over the fabrication process. However, the Coyotee will probably never be placed in a scale car as is it just too much fun to watch run on its stand.

The Coyotee boast's a single overhead cam, pressurized oil system, and spark ignition. Due to the small size, everything, even the spark plugs had to be fabricated from scratch.

	At the 2002 PRIME show in Eugene, OR, the Coyotee won 1st place in the "Internal Combustion Engines-Automotive" class. After 5 years of participating and running at PRIME, the Coyotee finally won this prestigious award.
